Deliberate Prayer - A Bold Approach to Prayer
1. OUR CONFIDENCE COMES FROM OUR CONFESSION
Hebrews 4:16 – 14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens — Jesus the Son of God — let us hold fast to our confession.
Hebrews 10:12 – 12 But this man, after offering one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God.
2. THE ONE WE PRAY TO UNDERSTANDS EVERYTHING WE PRAY FOR
Hebrews 4:15 – 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way as we are, yet without sin.
3. CHRIST’S FINISHED WORK ENABLES OUR APPROACH
Hebrews 10:11-12 – 11 Every priest stands day after day ministering and offering the same sacrifices time after time, which can never take away sins. 12 But this man, after offering one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God.
Hebrews 4:16 – 16 Therefore, let us approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in time of need.
Hebrews 7:24-25 – 24 But because he remains forever, he holds his priesthood permanently. 25 Therefore, he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, since he always lives to intercede for them.
